"Three other performances stand out in the party...most especially, Christian Edwin Cook, who dives so deep into the closeted, miserable Alan you worry he might never emerge into the light."

Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune

"Review: The Boys in the Band at the Windy City Playhouse"

"And as Alan, Christian Edwin Cook is particularly excellent. Resembling a young David Hyde Pierce, theatergoers observe as he quietly takes in the outrageous, over-the-top characters all around him. But Mr. Cook is particularly fine when his character is forced to confront a possible closet relationship with someone from his past."

Colin Douglas, Chicago Theatre Review
